Our college provides a safe and supportive environment and specialist facilities such a unique quiet space (The Haven) staffed by specialists, ensuring a secure environment throughout the college day. In addition to this there is a quiet area within the Bluebird classroom for students to use if and when they need time out from their session.
In addition to mandatory subjects aimed at fostering essential life, academic and vocational skills, you will have the opportunity to experience other areas in the college via taster sessions, giving you a wide range of options for the future.
During the academic year, learners will have the opportunity to work with their Course Director and the Workplacement Co-ordinator to undertake work experience, as appropriate. If progression onto another course within CWA is appropriate, where possible, learners will be given the chance to have taster sessions in order to assist with course choices.
As part of your course, you will study the following:

- Communication & Confidence development
- Self esteem building
- Life and Independence Skills
- Opportunity to work with a job coach who can advise and arrange volunteering, and work experience.
- GCSE English and Maths, or Functional Skills at a level that is appropriate level for you (unless already achieved at GCSE grade 4 or above).
- Working towards personal targets
