What qualification will I achieve?
After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development within a protected environment all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications depending on the chosen specialism:
Mechatronics pathway:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) Mechatronics Maintenance Technician
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
Tool Maker and Tool Die Maintenance Technician pathway:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) Tool maker
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) 585 GLH
Completion of the Apprenticeship is designed to be recognised by relevant Professional Engineering Institutions at the appropriate level of professional registration (EngTech).
How is my course assessed?
The workplace competency is assessed by the candidate completing a portfolio of evidence gathered from workplace activities. The Technical certificate is assessed through the completion of college assignments. Upon completion of the above training, you will be required to complete an End Point Assessment which be delivered by the End Point assessment organisation.
