Our Endeavour programmes create a supportive and positive learning environment to develop study skills, as well as raise attainment and self confidence.
Our new Endeavour: Engineering and Employability Skills course takes the best bits from our general Endeavour programme and mixes it with the practical elements of an engineering course at CWA.
If you decide to join Endeavour, you'll be getting support with your personal development and giving yourself the opportunity to gain skills to progress to future study and employment.
During the course, you'll have access to career support which will help find the most appropriate next step for you, whether that's further study or employment.
What will I do on this course?
This course is delivered over 1 year and starts in September each academic year. You'll work towards achieving an entry level qualification in engineering which will help set you up to progress to our level 1 motor vehicle & engineering course the following year.
You'll spend time in the workshop learning the basic skills required in the following trades:
- Motor Vehicle, Service and Repair
- Accident Repair, Paint and Body
- Engineering
You will work towards gaining English and maths qualifications to support your progression to the level 1 Motor Vehicle and Engineering skills course.
You'll also complete units to help prepare you for progression and adult life. For example, you may complete units on personal finance, conduct at work, interview skills, effective communication and a general introduction to health and safety.
