Course Description
This is a scientific based course that provides you with the knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective massage therapy to dogs.
The full-time course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to provide safe and effective therapy and massage treatments for different types of dogs. You will learn about the behaviour, anatomy and physiology of dogs, as well as how to apply various massage techniques to address their musculoskeletal issues and improve their well-being.
You will cover the following topics:
- The Fundamentals of Canine Massage
- Water Massage for Canines
- Healing of tissue
- Canine Conduct in a Therapy Environment
- Essential Strategies for Canine Massage
- Physical and Behaviour Examination of a Canine
- Frequent Nerve and Orthopaedic Conditions Introduced for Massage Therapy
- The Application of Massage Techniques in Canines
- The Study of Canine Anatomy
All units are mandatory to achieve the qualification.

Course Fees
Age Cost 19+ £2,500 Fee information
here is no funding available for this course. The course is ineligible for the Advanced Learner Loan.
The full course fee (£2,500) can be split into three equal instalments paid in September, January and April.
Adult (19+) learners
Depending on your age, course, educational history and personal circumstances, there may be options available for you to receive a course fully-funded by the government. Our fee calculator will help give you an idea on whether you'll be able to have your course fee waived or covered by an Advanced Learner Loan.
Learners with an active Education, Health & Care Plan
If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.
