Our T Level course is designed to provide you with broad knowledge and understanding of the animal sector. You'll be ready with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to progress within the industry or onto higher education. Regardless of whether you wish to be a laboratory technician or you wish to study animal science or zoology at university, this course is an excellent opportunity for you to know whether working in the sector is right for you.
During your time at college in our animal unit and our new animal science lab, you'll cover a wide array of core topics, including:
A big part of your study will be to complete relevant industry-based work placement. Throughout the course, you'll be required to complete a minimum of 45 days (315 hours) work placement. You'll also get the opportunity to show us what you've learned and demonstrate your abilities during numerous observations through the course. Employers can offer industry placements as a block, day release or a mix of these and you'll be making a meaningful contribution with that organisation - spending timing learning and working.
Work placement is a great opportunity to get your feet wet in your animal management and help confirm that this is the career you want to do!
