Password reset

Whether you're accessing the Student Portal for the first time or need to reset a forgotten password, you can use our secure password service.

Before you start

You'll need:

• Your college student number / person code (for students and applicants, this is usually a six digit number beginning with 4)
  • • For students and applicants, your username will be your student number, followed by @edu.cwa.ac.uk (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
    • For staff, your username will be your person code, followed by @col-westanglia.ac.uk (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
    • Parents will be given a username based on your young person's student number, followed by @col-westanglia.ac.uk (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
    • Employers will be given a username based on their employee's student number, followed by @col-westanglia.ac.uk (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
      
      
• Access to your personal email address or phone number which you used when you applied or which is on your student portal (you'll be able to see a preview if you're unsure)

Your student number can be found on all emails relating to your application or on your student ID card.

Creating or resetting your password

RESET YOUR PASSWORD

 1. Enter your college username / email address and complete the CAPTCHA

• For students and applicants, your username will be your student number, followed by @edu.cwa.ac.uk (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

2. Choose your preferred contact method to confirm your identity (email, text or mobile)

You'll be able to see a preview of the email address or phone number against your account. Follow the on-screen instructions once you've chosen your preference and enter the verification code to proceed. If you are unable to access the email address or phone number listed, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your student number and new contact details.

3. Create your password

Please note that your password must be longer than 8 characters, with at least one uppercase and lowercase letter and one number. The password must not include your name, sequential numbers or common passwords (such as "password"). Your password will be rejected if it doesn't meet these requirements.

4. Log in using your college username / email address
