Come to our short part-time course and learn new skills, from workshop health and safety, basics of tool maintenance, timber joints through to timber and masonry. By combining these new and exciting skills, you'll create a timber project to finish up the course!
This course will start on Thursday 29th May at our King's Lynn campus and will run each Thursday for five weeks from 6pm - 8pm.
We have all the tools, materials and ideas ready and waiting for you in our carpentry workshop. We'll start with smaller projects (such as producing timber joints) before producing your mini project to take home.
Try your hand at:
- Tool identification
- Tool maintenance
- Fixing and fitting (masonry and timber)
- Producing timber joints
What could I make?
Exactly what you'll be working on is to be confirmed but you could make a boot remover, planters or a bird box!
What personal protective equipment will I need?
- Steel toe cap boots (we may be able to lend these to you subject to size availability; we'll follow up with you after you book)
- Safety glasses (loaned from the college)
