This short six week course is designed to give you an introduction into Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) or Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques, depending on your preference.
On the course, you will receive hands on tuition on MIG or TIG welding depending on your preference.
The course will take place in the welding bays in our start of the art engineering workshop and will be delivered by industry trained professionals to support you throughout the course.
During the course, you will learn to check and set up different welding equipment and how to do a number of welding and fabrication techniques (with a focus on your preference between TIG or MIG).
What will I need for this course?
- Steel toe cap boots (we should be able to lend these to you, you'll be able to choose your size when you sign up)
- Fire retardant overalls (you can bring your own or we can provide you with some)
- Safety glasses (loaned from the college)
