William chose to study Dog Grooming at the College of West Anglia. A typical day at college for William involves theory and practical based work, within his theory lessons he has learnt about first aid, dog behaviours and the behind the scenes of building up a business.
He finds the practical lessons most interesting, William said he, “Enjoys pushing boundaries to become better and learn new skills.
The facilities and tutors are great; the tutors are not only there for teaching you but to talk about other things if you need help.”
William was awarded runner up in Land-based Studies at the 2026 Student Awards with his tutor saying, “He approaches every dog with confidence, skill and attention to detail, consistently producing grooms of a very high standard. William’s dedication, skill, and leadership made him a highly deserving candidate.”
William hopes to work full time in a Dog Grooming Parlour when he completes his course, with ambitions to one day run his own.
