Samuel chose to study A-levels as it gave him a direct path into the career he wanted. He said, “I have enjoyed the flexibility of each day. I would highly recommend studying A-levels at CWA as the tutors offer a broad range of experience.”
Samuel wanted to challenge himself beyond the classroom and had the chance to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Samuel explained, “The tutors at College supported me and encouraged me to take a risk and try something new.
On my D of E excursion as a part of my residential section, I travelled to Costa Rica. I met a group of volunteers who led two weeks of activities, not only volunteering but also exploration and cultural education. I helped rescue turtles, butterflies and conducted research on the rainforest and its habitants. I was given plenty of time to explore, travel and learn more about the local culture.
I enjoyed leaving my comfort zone for two weeks and spending the time with new people, learning new skills and the personal development that I gained from the experience.”
