As the only mature student in the group, Manda was a valuable and motivational influence, really helping younger students to make the most of their time at college. The whole team were delighted when she achieved a Distinction* and progressed to Level 3.
Manda had a terminally ill son and she started Level 3, knowing that he could die during the course. Through lockdowns, she juggled home schooling, hospital appointments, online lessons and caring for her son and still achieved distinction grades in her exams.
Manda says her time at CWA has benefited her. "I never would have had the self-belief to work in an equine environment or apply to university. CWA has given me many options for my future, which wouldn't exist without the staff"
