Luke chose to study an Installation and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship at the College of West Anglia, after completing work experience with an electrician whilst he was in secondary school.
During Luke’s time at college, he found that the environment brought him out of his shell. His course not only gave him the qualification to become a qualified electrician but also the confidence to take on larger jobs and get his own apprentices. Luke is now a supervisor for Anglian Water, where he oversees both the operations and maintenance teams.
Reflecting on his time at CWA, Luke stated “I learnt key life skills from; how to communicate better, health & safety and how to work as part of a team. Everything I was taught laid the foundation for the success I’ve achieved in my career so far.”
