Kale Heath studied Sports Science at the College of West Anglia from 2016 - 2018. His aspirations had always been to become a professional golfer and to the reach the highest level of the sport. After countless years of training and dedication, Kale is now a Professional Golfer playing on the Clutch Pro Tour.
Kale chose CWA as it offered a course which was directly related to his passion of sports and allowed him to continue learning about it, both theoretically and physically. He stated that “There was many different aspects we learnt on the course, however the main subjects I enjoyed, were the psychology and the anatomy aspects. I found psychology the most interesting because it helped me learn how the brain works in different situations which I could apply it to my performance in golf.”
Reflecting on his time at CWA, Kale said “I had some great memories from CWA. I met many friends there who have remained my friends still, 7 years later. All the teachers were very helpful if you struggled with any part of your work.”
Kale’s time at college helped him learn a variety of different aspects of sports such as how the body recovers, which were transferable to his golf career. The college’s timetabling also allowed him to have time to practice his golf, alongside his course, which was a priority for him.
