Annabelle took A-levels at CWA, studying Maths, History and Chemistry. Originally, Annabelle went to university to study Law with a language at The University of Sussex. However, when the pandemic hit, Annabelle changed direction and began a degree apprenticeship in children’s nursing at Cambridge University Hospital Trust.
Annabelle said, “I chose to go to CWA as I wanted the freedom of college, outside of the structure of high school sixth forms, so I would be well prepared for university.
At CWA I made friends for life, developed my abilities in time and personal management and greatly matured as a person throughout my time there. I remember having fun with my cohort and studying together in our common room. My time at CWA has benefitted me as I was able to use my skills of time management and critical thinking, to enable me to work effectively in difficult circumstances throughout the pandemic.”
Annabelle is now Healthcare Support Worker Nursing Apprentice, working full time in the children’s outpatient department, and studying one day a week at university.
