Adults Part-TimeThis course is designed to help improve your English language skills including reading, writing, speaking and listening in a variety of contexts. It is for learners aged 19 and over.
The ESOL course will help you to develop and gain confidence in your speaking, listening, reading and writing English language skills.
You will develop and improve your English grammar and vocabulary.
You will cover a wide range of topics such as, working and living in the UK, education, health, history, the environment, housing, travelling, the law, social development, personal development, finance, etc.
You will have the opportunity to make friends in these multi-cultural classes, learn about the British way of life and the variety of cultures in the UK.
You will have the opportunity to gain an ESOL Skills for Life qualification in reading, speaking & listening and writing.
We also offer a full-time equivalent of the ESOL course for students aged 16-18 year-olds starting each September.
Whilst there are no entry requirements, you will complete an assessment prior to starting your course to determine the appropriate level for you.
You must be eligible to study in the UK to start this course (i.e. you have lived in the UK for the last three years or have settled / pre-settled status and have lived in the EEA / UK for the previous three years. Our King's Lynn course occurs every Tuesday between 5pm and 8pm. Our Wisbech course run every Wednesday between 5:30pm and 8:30pm for Entry Level 3, Level 1 & Level 2: Our entry level 1 & 2 run on Mondays at 5:30pm-8:30pm.

Our ESOL courses are split into three different units; reading, writing and speaking. For most students, each unit costs a reduced rate of £100, but depending on your circumstances you may be able to receive the course for free.
Your course will be free if you have lived in the UK for the last three years and:
If you haven't lived in the UK for the last three years, our admissions team will complete a fee assessment against specific criteria to determine if you are eligible for free or a reduced-rate courses. If you don't meet the criteria, each unit will cost £300.
Depending on your age, course, educational history and personal circumstances, there may be options available for you to receive a course fully-funded by the government. Our fee calculator will help give you an idea on whether you'll be able to have your course fee waived or covered by an Advanced Learner Loan.
If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.
