Adults Part-TimeThis course covers the skills needed to communicate effectively and to engage in a one-to-one helping relationship appropriately.
It looks at the variety of contexts and settings within which helping skills are used (e.g. support services, healthcare, social care, youth and community work, early years). This could be in areas such as workplace mentoring, advice and guidance support or the use of counselling skills.

If you are aged 19 - 23, you must have completed a full level 2 (or above) previously to study this course (unless you have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
If you're aged 19 - 23, this course will be fully funded (i.e. there are no course fees to pay) if you already have a full level 2 qualification (or higher) and:
If you already have a level 2 qualification (or higher) but do not meet the other criteria, you will be able to study the course for the above fee. It is worth noting that having 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above is considered a full level 2.

If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Counselling Skills
The qualification is assessed via a portfolio and there is no examination.
