Adults Part-TimeOur new, one day course for adults will help you understand the fundamentals of positive psychology. You'll participate in paired and group activities to model scenarios and settings and reflect / discuss the potential applications to daily life.
Positive psychology is an applied approach to mental health and wellbeing, aimed at maximising our individual strengths and skills in order to thrive as part of the communities in which we live, work, and play! This course assumes no prior knowledge.
The course will introduce the six building blocks (PERMAH) and three types of happiness, identified by psychologist Martin Seligman (2012 and 2016), as fundamental to a positive, individualised approach to life.
Happiness or individualised positivity that can be cultivated, according to Seligman:
