Adults Employers Training for WorkAll personnel involved in the inspection and testing of electrical systems must be competent to do so. This 4-day short course following the City & Guilds 2391-51 Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations scheme provides detailed practical training and underpinning knowledge in this important area. This new course is designed to reflect the requirements of BS7671:2018 (incorporating all amendments).
The course is practically based with all aspects of the inspection, testing and certification process being covered that is demanded by BS7671:2018 (incorporating all amendments). The Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations -City & Guilds 2391-51, consists of 5 learning outcomes. The candidate will be able to: Understand the requirements for periodic inspection and testing Understand safety management procedures when undertaking periodic inspection and testing Understand the requirements for the periodic inspection of an electrical installation: Understand the requirements for testing electrical installations during periodic inspection and test Perform periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations This course runs 1 day per week over 4 weeks, with an additional day allocated to the practical assessment to be confirmed whilst on the course.
This qualification is intended for electricians that hold relevant Level 3 Electrotechnical qualifications, who want to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD), learn new skills, and enhance their understanding of periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations.
This qualification is not for those new to the industry who do not possess sufficient skills, knowledge, and experience to undertake inspection and testing safely and competently. This qualification is also not suitable for those with limited experience of working in the electrotechnical sector, or who do not already hold relevant Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications.
This course is practically based with all aspects of the periodic inspection, testing and certification process being covered that is demanded by BS7671:2018. We strongly recommend that before attending this course delegates have completed a period of study on the Requirements for Electrical Installations - IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition, BS7671:2018 (incorporating all amendments). The City & Guilds 2382-22 certificate would be satisfactory evidence of such a study.
