After finishing my A-Levels at KES High School, I went and studied at University Centre West Anglia, BA(Hons) Early Childhood Studies. I chose to study at UcWA due to the location being so close to home.
I have some lovely memories at UcWA, working with a lovely group of people on my course and finding more ways to support children. The context of the course involved looking at theories and theorists, as well as educational perspectives. I enjoyed seeing these in context in my own setting.
As I worked as a Learning Support Assistant and 1:1 in a primary school, I wanted to learn more about supporting children in different ways, with their education and their personal development. The course has benefitted me as it helped me create learning resources and strategies to support children with a range of different educational requirements.
My time at university has built my confidence and gave me the opportunity to further my own development within a working environment.
