Prior to studying Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, Hannah was working at the college as an hourly paid lecturer. She wanted to become a full-time lecturer and further her knowledge in education and is a full-time lecturer in Health and Social Care.
Hannah said, “At UcWA, I was part of a small group on the course, and this meant that we really bonded as a team including our tutor. It resulted in us being able to support each other and receive 1:1 support from our tutor on a regular basis.
The course has given me lots of background knowledge on the theory of teaching and behaviour. Mostly important it has given me confidence in my teaching role as a result of the mentoring part of the course. I really enjoyed the units linked to classroom management, as I felt this gave me practical tips when in the classroom.”
