“I studied BTEC National Diploma in Care at CWA from 2006 to 2008. Ten years later, I decided to come back and study BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies to become a primary school teacher.
I chose to come to UcWA due to the location being close to home and I was able to still work around my work and family commitments.
The course was very interesting. I found the play, health and wellbeing module the most interesting. It gave me an insight into the way children learn and how we can best support them and encourage play.
I loved my time at UcWA. I felt proud to be surrounded by supportive tutors and classmates, especially those who had returned to learning as an adult, like me. This course gave me the confidence and experience to move from higher education to work with primary aged students.
If you’re thinking of returning to learning as an adult, it is never too late to try something new. There is plenty of support available at UcWA, no matter what your circumstances are.”
