“My career has been spent within the Healthcare sector. I work in the NHS as the Development Manager for clinical bands 2-4, which includes recruiting and supporting healthcare support workers.
Studying the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship has enabled me to question decisions and make positive informed suggestions. I am able to provide information about apprenticships from my own experiences to others thinking about, or already understaking, study in this way, which has been invaluable.
The course has most definitely helped me to develop and broaden my thought processes about the work I do, the impact of my decisions on my team and the way decisions are made within the organisation. I feel more confident and feel that I am a good role model to others that I support.
Returning to learning has been a challenge. However, with some good planning and support from my tutor, this has been achievable. I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme and would recommend it to others thinking about embarking on a programme of study. I have studied at CWA in the past and I chose to study here as it has a good reputation and provided what I was looking for.
If you are thinking of studying a degree apprenticeship, this is a great opportunity! Make sure you look at the modules and have a good study plan in place. The feeling of achievement when you complete modules is fantastic.”
