I had excellent and extremely knowledgeable tutors at UcWA. student support, mentoring and course development were always at the forefront of their minds. By the time my class had graduated, we were a tight-knit, supportive group of capable veterinary nurses.”
Sairead studied Animal Health and Welfare in Ireland before moving to the UK to complete a BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing with Applied Animal Behaviour at UcWA. She is now employed by Central Qualifications – an Ofqual approved awarding body whose role is to develop veterinary and animal-based qualifications. Sairead’s role involves developing syllabuses and preparing and delivering practical exams. She is also undertaking a part-time master’s degree in Clinical Animal Behaviours at the University of Edinburgh’s Royal School of Veterinary Studies.
